The Winns Bakehouse museum is sited on the banks of the River Sturt at the bottom of Winns Road. Winn’s Bakehouse is a comprehensive museum depicting valley life from 1837. The Bakehouse operated from 1862 until the early 1940s.
If you organize a bus for your visit, our Branch will organise a local guide to travel with you and point out significant locations. Give us a call to discuss options and costs. School groups especially have found a visit to the Bakehouse exciting and stimulating.
The area surrounding the Bakehouse is ideal for a picnic on the banks of the river.
